James Oconnell is a Manchester based doodler, illustrator, typographer and all round image maker with an international reach. On the 28th September, James will be hosting his first solo exhibition revealing a selection of work created over the last quinquennium. He draws inspiration from all over the place – from everyday comings and goings to pure fantasy, and all that's between. From people, from places, from objects, from films, from books, from music, from comedy, from listening, from looking, from seeing… from anything and everything.

He has a passion for tone, form and texture and generally tries to create stuff that makes people think. But mostly, which makes them smile. Throughout his career james has been lucky enough to work with some amazing folk and has had his work show up in places like Creative Review, Design Week, BBC News and the OFFF Festival.

The exhibition launches on Friday 28th September from 6pm onwards.
